Personal Use

Text, essays, stories, and photographs contained on this site may be used and redistributed via hardcopy or e-mail for noncommercial purposes by individuals not acting on behalf of an organization (e.g., sharing something that you liked with a friend). However, please attribute the source in such a way that (1) someone can go back and find it on my site and that (2) also attibutes me as the author. The simplest way to do this is to just include the line, "Obtained from http://www.shawnyoung.com".

Commercial Use

Commercial use and republication in any form of any content on this site is not permitted unless prior agreement is made.

Academic Use

My writing portfolio includes some essays that I wrote in college. Feel free to use and cite them in your own work if you feel they in some way support what you're doing.

Online Redistribution

Please do not repost any of my content on another website or copy it to a public Web server. Link to my pages instead. The problem with putting text and other content from my site on another website or server is that search engines will find it there and send readers to that location instead. Thus, visitors would lose the benefit of seeing related content from me, and I'd lose the benefit of site visits. Simple as that. Please be courteous.
